Libuše Čižmárová Methodological Principles of the Dictionary of Moravian and Silesian Anoikonyms (Minor Place-Names)Citation information: Voprosy onomastiki (Problems of Onomastics). 2010. № 1 (8). P. 67–77 (in Russian) Abstract: The routines used by Brno linguists working on the Dictionary of Moravian and Silesian Anoikonyms (conceived in the shape of an alphabetical inventory not of individual anoikonyms but of collective entries introduced by abstract headwords) are described. All the collected material is gradually being put into the digital database of the program which automatically creates a primal form of the entries (headword with certain characteristics, enumeration and sequence of the respective anoikonyms and objects). The main task of the authors is then to formulate the explicatory section of each entry. At the same time, the program offers the possibility of generating various maps (for individual entries or several connected entries, on various backgrounds – administrative districts, river networks, vertical model, Google map). The output will then be not only a classical paper dictionary, but – in the first place – a digital product offering innumerable possibilities to search for needed information and to depict it on maps.
