Топонимические исследования в Великобритании (XX–XXI вв.): история, основные направления развития

Аннотация: Данная публикация представляет собой обзор топонимических исследований в Англии и отчасти в других регионах Соединенного Королевства: анализируются формы организации сообщества ученых, деятельность и основные научные проекты этих организаций (в первую очередь Английского топонимического общества), этапы становления английской топонимики в XX в., рассматривается литература, посвященная общим вопросам топонимики, изучению географических названий иноязычного происхождения (прежде всего скандинавского, кельтского), а также различных классов топонимов. Обзор дополняет библиография работ по британской топонимике.
