Аннотация: В китайских текстах V–XI вв. (хрониках, трактатах, энциклопедиях, сообщениях путешественников) неоднократно встречается макротопоним Nü guo «Царство женщин», употреблявшийся применительно к мифическим и реальным государствам, где из поколения в поколение правит женщина-царь. Статья представляет собой вторую часть исследования, цель которого — локализация тех Царств женщин, которые располагались в Тибете или в непосредственной близости от него. Анализ письменных источников, произведенный автором в первой части, показал, что в хрониках речь идет о Царствах женщин по разные стороны Тибетского нагорья. В ходе работы было установлено географическое положение Царства женщин, которое действительно существовало в Восточном Тибете в определенный исторический период — до середины VIII в. Во второй части исследования рассматривается возможность локализации топонима Nü guo в регионе Западный Тибет и прилегающей к нему юго-восточной части Ладакха. Данные территории объединялись древней цивилизацией, оставившей после себя многочисленные жилые и церемониальные памятники. В начале VII в. самым сильным государственным образованием на этом обширном пространстве было царство Шангшунг, где сосуществовали различные культурные группы. В царство входили некогда процветавшие земледельческие территории в долинах бассейнов верхнего течения рек Инд и Сатледж. Уклад жизни, характерный для местного населения в недавнем прошлом, обнаруживает несколько параллелей с Царством женщин китайских хроник, при этом в верховьях Сатледжа поклоняются локальным божествам женского пола. На основании этнографических и археологических материалов, а также данных письменных источников автором выдвигается гипотеза, что в верхнем течении рек Инд и Сатледж в древности могли проживать носители матриархально ориентированной культуры, вероятно, прекратившей свое существование еще до расцвета Шангшунга.
